It's a lot better at what, exactly? I genuinely want to know, because if this were the 360 vs PS3, I'd understand. But, this gen, I'm not sure what it's so much better at. 

- Is it feature set?
- Speed? (Honestly, it can't be this)
- Games with Gold?

In terms of multimedia options (services, for example), I'd give LIVE the win, but outside of that, I don't see what it's "much better" at.

It runs faster at my house than psplus (I have a ps4 and xbox one) that's what I was talking about mostly, since I said the free games is an opinon. It seems that pretty much everyone I have talked to that has both has better luck with xbox live, especially near the start of the gen when psplus was down a lot. But it is defenitly much better than it used to be. Just out of curiosity does psplus run faster for you than xbox live?

PlayStation PLUS or PSN? PSN runs faster than LIVE for me, yes. It downloads much quicker and games start up faster.

I always call psn psplus for whatever reason :P but for me it downloads retail games much much quicker but for digital it actually downloads a lot slower than my xbox XD I live out in the country in Iowa so it's not very fast on both but xbox is faster for me. Games do start up quicker but that's not a psn vs xbox live thing ;p

System functionality is part of PSN and LIVE's feature set. So yes, games starting quicker should count, particularly when downloading updates is involved.

Oh I guess I just thought they were network stuff :P lol well there's a win for psn xD. For me the games with gold are usually better, which one is usually better for you?

Hmmm...that's a little trickier, because I rarely grab those games on either. So, in that regard, I can't really compare.

Do you own both then I'm guessing? Which console or network do you perfer?

PS2 didn't have servers and charging money is the reason they are the best in the first place...

PSN really has improved this gen but I still can't think of a single thing it does better than Live. Really a testament to how awful it was on PS3. Voice quality is still awful though.

No suprise. They always have been good at online especially considering they have some of the best multiplayer games on the market. Its just a really good bonus to compliment there games
