Well at least I know ahead of time of what I will not buy. Very disappointing. If I went into detail it would surely lead to a ban if it made sense or not. Being honest about Nintendo is a hate crime if not a positive comment around this site.

I think you can be honest without trying to be offensive. Just know that not everyone will agree with everything people say to one another and that applies to a topic like this.

I feel like Nintendo at this point is just doing their damn hardest to convince people that this game still as a chance of being good.

Who knows, anythign could happen.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I could be an idiot, but, why couldn't there just be two RPG series?

Paper mario used to be a rpg genre, now its not.

Luigi and mario series is very differnt, than the paper mario rpgs.

I fully agree, there should have been 2 traditional rpg series.

Changeing a series genre willy nilly, is just going to off set most fans.

Its like Metal Gear solid... it used to be a FPS with stealth, now the new game is a 4 man co-op survival vs zombie game.

Stuff like that matters.

Them changeing paper mario like this sucks.

R.I.P Paper mario - the thousand year door, you where the last real Paper Mario nintendo decided to make.

This is true and it does makes sense, I don't know why some people are convinced that an action-adventure-puzzle game cannot work without being a purist rpg.

But that's not the issue. The real issue is changing the games design. It would be like making a CSI show. But it focuses on figuring out murders, for elephants only. The elephants talk. The cast are elephants. It's still a CSI. But no more humans. Everyone should like that change? Changing whatever, to something else, rarley works out. Because the fans of the series, like the series for what is was. Final Fantasy 13 gets all that hate, for this problem.

False equivalency.

It would be accurate, however, to equate it to the removing of RPG mechanics from Final Fantasy 15.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

They could have atleast made the games fundamentally different like Super Paper Mario was, but nope, they're essentially TTYD, just massively stripped and watered down. I guess that makes sense though, as Sticker Star originally was a true TTYD successor, so they didn't wanna have to completely start over after Miyamoto did what's in my signature.

For the record, I found Super Paper Mario to be the best of the series.

I'm mostly an RPG fan, past Paper Mario games were just not very good RPGs. The original Mario RPG is still the best RPG of all the Mario spinoffs.

I guess people have differnt tastes.

I think the original Paper mario (n64) and Thusand Year Door (gamecube) where fantastic.

As good or better than Super Mario RPG.

Because in Nintendo's logical world, that's too much good for us. Therefore, they need to balance with unwanted games like Federation Force and Amiibo Crossing.

Well seems like they're succeeding.
