Bayonetta ---> Jeanne skin

Peach ---> Daisy skin (Maybe Pauline too, but that's a stretch)

Olimar ---> We already have Alph, so Charlie, Brittany and Louie skins as well would be cool.

Ness ---> Ninten skin

Pacman ---> Ms. Pacman skin

 

What about you guys? Which characters would you want to see as alternate costumes in the next Smash Bros.?

Why not? Unless it changes the character too much. Maybe Ken in place of Ryu, since they were originally clones with different skins in the first two Street Fighter games, if I remember correctly.

Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, and Lucina need to be relegated to skins for Pit, Mario, and Marth. Let's free up those spots for... Ahem... Real characters. That said, I feel Roy/Marth, Mario/Luigi, Ganon/Captain Falcon, Fox/Falco, and Ness/Lucas are varied enough to justify separate characters.

In addition to that change, I would like to see the follow alts for said characters:

 

Mario/Dr. Mario: Mario (Strikers, Soccer theme), Paper Mario

Ganondorf: Toon Ganon, Shadow Ganon (Forest Temple Boss)
Princess Peach: Princess Daisy
Pikachu: Pichu, Raichu, Pikachu Libre
Jigglypuff: Igglybuff, Clefairy
Charizard: Alain's Charizard (jewelry, yo), Dragonite
Cloud Strife: Zack Fair (Young), Zack Fair (Adult), Angelus, Cloud (Kingdom Hearts)
Bayonetta: Jeanne
Toon Link: Young Link, Link (Purple Hair alá LttP)
Mewtwo: Shadow Mewtwo
Ryu: Ken, [Insert nearly any Shoto-clone]
Greninja: Ash-Greninja

Don't misunderstand. I love Smash. I just think there's nothing meaningful that a brand new entry could add. Just keep iterating on Smash 4 for ever with added content.

You're probably not alone on this one. I think for some fans, it's gonna be hard to top something like this at this point. To have an all legendary cast of old and new characters along with third party characters that we've dreamed of but thought would never happen, it's gonna be hard to convince even casual gamers of getting a new game with a roster that may not match it. They can improve the online with the new system, add in the 3DS content, and possibly add new characters if Sakurai has time (since he has great involvement in making the move sets and all) and stages. If NX could do online 8-player smash (or at least add that on Smash Run with online), that would be pretty awesome.
