I don't know. Halo 5 barely secured the last October win and it's a much bigger franchise. Beyond that, it didn't have to go up against, not one, but two new PS4 models, in addition to, a lower price point. 

To be fair, only one of those models will affect October. Still, I think it will be somewhat close, but the PS4 is going to win Oct. It'll be the first full month of a $299 PS4. Sony will be ramping up advertising as we start getting closer to the holidays and will most likely have more bundles for every taste. Hope they put out a Knack/R&C bundle for younger kids. VR could also cause a slight boost.

Now, November is going to be a bloodbath. Even if MS slightly wins Sept and Oct, November is going to make up for every XBO win this year. We'll have the COD marketing + bundles and the strong possibility of a $249 BF SKU, which will fly off shelves. More importantly, we have the Pro launch, which obviously is going to be bringing in 250K+ all by itself, with 500K+ being likely if preorders keep up like they have, and 750K+ not being impossible. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the PS4 pulls off 1.8M+ in Nov, with XBO probably repeating last year's 1.3M, possibly slightly less.

Do you see why some users felt your comments below were jumping to conclusions a bit too fast?

I'm not saying these 3 PS4 SKUs above the highest selling XB1 SKU is showing that XB1 won't take the US (trends can change overnight) but drawing conclusions based off of PS4 Pro stealing many of PS4 Slim's initial sales might prove to be premature.

It's just a lack of patience and foresight most of the time. On the flip side we get PS4 fans saying 'Sony needs to drop the price' as soon as the XB1 has a decent time above the PS4. It's just crazy how knee-jerky some folks are.

Yup. I feel like that's a general problem on this site.

Some users blow the whistle as soon as trends indicate the slightest negativity surrounding sales/brand even though trends change overnight and even though the negativity is often made by a vocal online minority.
