Meh, was alright overall.

Mario Maker and Woolly World is super cool, but I do agree that they're basically screwing over Wii U owners at the same time.

How are we getting screwed over? I don't see anything wrong with more people being able to play these awesome games.

Because now Wii U owners who hate 3DS can't feel unique and special anymore.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Wii U is officially obselete

Why? Because a Mario Maker port with no online functionalities and a heavily downgraded port of Yoshi is on 3ds? Sure.

Who cares about games like Xenoblade X, Mario Kart 8, Tropical Freeze, 3DWorld, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, Tokio Mirage Sessions, Pokken, Captain Toad or Splatoon now that Yoshi Wooolly World has a way uglier little brother on 3DS 2 years later?

I just wish they'd released Mario Kart 8 on the 3ds instead, then I'd never have had to buy a WiiU xD. That's the only must-have game on the system as far as I'm concerned.

Not bad.

I really don't mind Wooly World and Mario Maker on the 3DS. If I had the choice, I'd still prefer them on the Wii U. The main draw of Wooly World was the visuals, and the main draw of Mario Maker was sharing levels online.

It seems to be a sign Nintendo is moving towards a hybrid system. I'm not a huge fan of that, but whatever. At the same time, it's weird that the games, particularly Mario Maker, wouldn't be saved for an NX launch if that were the case.

I like streetpass a lot so I'm happy there will be more street pass games, and a streamlined interface.

Pikmin reminds me of Kirby Mass Attack. And that's a good thing. Not a huge fan of the art style, but maybe it'll look better on a smaller screen.

Mario Party takes me out of a car, so points for that.

Overall, pretty good stuff. Better than I expected.

For you, in my opinion almost every game I mentioned is a must have. And of course the real Mario Maker, because a MM without sharing courses online is fine if you don't have a WiiU but is just not the same.

Overall that was pretty good I'd say. They didn't mention Lady Layton though. :(

Maybe it will be NX only :).

Depending on what NX is I might get one anyways, but that still would suck.

We have Mario Kart 7 to answer 8, Pikmin 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land and Yoshi's Woolly World 3DS now. There's also numerous JRPGs to answer Xenoblade X (like the original) and multiple MegaTen games.

Eh, Mario Maker's online aspects are dead anyway. I only get a playthrough of one of my levels or a Star once in a blue moon now.

Dunno man, I have new stars every time I look it. And people still uploading tons of levels, levels that you can play unlike on the 3D version.

That's basically admitting that those games didn't sell what they wanted on WiiU. Also, pretty funny that the 3DS Mario Sports game looks a billion times better than the ones WiiU got.

Anyway, I don't really see myself getting anything they showed today, maybe Yoshi if I feel like it. Never got the WiiU game.

Also for a moment there I was scared they would announce another unnecessary Zelda spin-off or something, when they talked about Zelda, but thankfully it was just some amiibo, SS on WiiU Virtual Console and Hyrule Warriors DLC lol.

With Yoshi I could see that, but Mario Maker was a major hit and has probably sold comfortably over 3 million so far. I can't really see them being dissappointed with that.

If it reviews well I'm going to get Mario Sports Superstars. It could be a lot of fun.

Otherwise an ok Direct. A lot of enjoyable games for 3DS owners without a Wii U (and there are a lot of those).
