My guess would be for an aggressive cooling system.
The PS5 Exists.

Hmm looks better than the slim but worse than the og ps4
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
Slim and a half duck taped together. I hope it looks better than that. Sony starts with good looking first models (PS3 and PS4) and then things go downhill.
I could not care less about how it looks, but it being nearly 5kg is very very interesting... me likes it ;)
4.5kg?
No way. That's really heavy.
A bit surprised about the 449$ price too. I guess Sony must want to make big profits on hardware now, like Nintendo?

I would say this generation Xbox One S > PS4 Original > PS4 Neo > Wii U > PS4 Slim > Xbox One Original

Twitter @CyberMalistix
About the pricing: the source says that the Neo is 3000RMB, which is $449. However, the original PS4 launched in China at 2900RMB a year and a half after the PS4's original release in the US and Europe. So $399 sounds likely to me.
