I am still defending the Win 8 UI and I think Windows 10 is ok. I don't see why that would make me a hypocrite. The truth is people are idoits and no one gives a shit about how big a start menu is anyway, people just needed to bitch about something new with a bandwagon big enough to make them feel smart.
Windows 10 won't change enough before people switch. All these things people bitch about now will be still there when they are eventually switching. It will just be a more stable experience. So yeah, hypocrites. Everyone loves to bash Windows as an OS but look how many people actually have the balls to switch to Linux or Mac OS. Not very many.

Oh yeah, the only problem with Windows 8 was the start menu and nothing else. Maybe you should do your homework before calling people idiots.
Bolded: That's enough for people to switch, this very thread exists because of stability issues, stability is one of the main differentiator from beta software.
Once again, your logic escapes me, because it doesn't exist.

Maybe because I'm talking about idiot logic and not brain logic. It doesn't matter what other problems there were when 90% of the bitching was about irrelevant design decisions. Every other problem just furthered people's cause on hating on the OS, most of which have never even tried it and been on the band wagon since "OMG NO START BUTTON!!!!"
After that it was. "OMG WIN 10 HAS A START BUTTON!!! BEST OS EVAAAA!!!!" No one gave a shit about the massive amount that was changed under the hood between 8 and 10 because their comprehension stops at a small button in the lower left corner. If you sold Vanilla Windows 8 with a start button and a Windows 10 logo people wouldn't notice the difference and probably still be bitching about Windows 8 while using it.
After that it was "OMG MICROSOFT IS SPYING ON US BECAUSE OF META DATA!!!!!" GET THAT NSA CRAP AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEE!!!!". Guess what, those privacy issues will not be resolved ever and people are still gonna switch to it. You know what we call those people? Hypocrites.
And now every single small negative thing is just piling on. The smallest thing gets the biggest media attention because people have already made up their minds. The same made up minds that will suddenly switch to Win 10 despite of the majority of things they complained about has not changed. Hypocrites.
Just to be clear, I'm not defending or even advocating Windows or Microsoft here. It's a piece of software that has issues like most software has. I'm just calling out the bullshitters who jump at keywords they don't even fully comprehend.
