https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1hsh267tUM

Earlier today, the Pokemon Channel released a trailer showcasing 4 new Pokemon, three of which were previously leaked.

Crabrawler is a fighting type Pokemon with either the ability Hyper Cutter/Iron Fist

Sandygast is a Ghost/Ground type Pokemon with the new ability Water Compaction, which when hit with a water type move raises its defense stat by 2

Palossand, the evolved form of Sandygast, is a Ghost/Ground type Pokemon with the ability Water Compaction

Stufful is the pre-evolution of Bewear, and is a Normal/Fighting type Pokemon with either the ability Fluffy/Klutz

A crab that fist-fights named Crabrawler? I love that. Awesome name. Just like Tortunator. I love all these new designs. Its amazing, what a time to be alive. However, we still need that doplhin.

At this rate I'll be lucky to even have a team of 6 Alolan Pokemon that I like, not including the gen 1 Pokemon's new forms of course.

Guess I'll give my thoughts on them. Crabrawler is pretty cool, I like its design. It's a bit weird that it isn't water/fighting, but I still might end up using it. Sandygast and Palossand are a weird design, but their typing is neat. As for Stufful, there isn't really much to say since it's just a pre-evolution, but it does look pretty cute. I especially like the detail where it has a tag, just a nice little addition. I guess the wait for a dolphin pokemon continues for some...

I wonder if water compaction also gives any immunity to water moves? Would be an awesome ability for a ground type if it does. If not then the fact that a lot of water moves are special moves would kind of limit its effectiveness.

In the video it shows that the ability does not grant immunity to water so it's not a very good.

OP: I like the new pokemon, I think I have only dislike one so far.

I don't think it does because when the shellder attacked it, it played the damage noise (and Sandygast is damaged, but it could of just been like that) and then the ability activated, but an ability like lightning rod that makes a pokemon immune to electric-type moves activates right when the move is used. If that makes any sense.

Are you trolling, using reverse psychology or I got drunk without drinking ?

I wonder if Crabrawler will be able to do what they promised: counter Cresselia, Ferrothorn, Smeargle, Talonflame and Kangaskhan is quite a lot to accomplish for a single Pokémon without resulting OP if not impossible

Blah, only Crabrawler is new, we've seen the rest already via corocoro. Still Crabrawler is cool but why is he not a water type? I think we only have like two Water/Fighting types so this was a huge missed opportunity for another rare type combination.

The reason he's not a water type is probably because he's a coconut crab. They can't swim at all.

Lamesauce, but atleast it makes sense, unlike many other bad things as of late.
