Somebody else made a thread with this video a few months ago, so I've already been exposed to this terrible compilation. I wish this video had the segment of Jamie Kennedy "playing" Burnout Paradise with Kinnect on the night of it's unveiling. Oh sweet Jesus. It was soooo bad. He was obviously not controlling the game at all, and the ideas they presented as to how a player would accelerate, brake, ect, were insane. Watching it hardened me, and made me incapable of love. Thanks again MS!

we were so naive lmao

I have been thinking about having a custom "Better With Kinnect"  t-shirt made. To wear to my Xbox friends houses and whatnot. Really should do this.  And having that saying printed on a plain white T might actually make it better.

Well yeah.  The Kinect is what I like to call "World's Fair tech."  Very cool and interesting in a vacuum as a demonstration of technical achievement, but when taken out of that vacuum and put into the practical world it is actually limited in usefulness.  The Wii's success and advancement wasn't just in motion control tech, it was in solving a problem with motion controls:  navigation of a 3D space.  With the D-pad and analogue stick found in the wiimote-nunchuck combo, 3D space navigation was possible in a game, even if it had a lot of motion controls.  So even though the Kinect was more advanced technologically, by abandoning that advancement it become less advanced in a practical sense.  Metroid Prime 3 and Skyward Sword are not possible on the Kinect as a result.

Agreed and well said. Also, I like your Weird Al Yankovic avatar.

You know, maybe Kinect would have flourished more if everyone had gotten one of these...

I guess I missed out.

"We are the controller!"

LOL!

Here is a classic we ALL can appreciate:

I'm not a fan of the Kinect but it's not a bad product. It might not of delivered on some stuff that they showed but is did offer a great casual experience not offered to this standard before.

Some people (specially the Xbox brand target audience) couldn't even get up and use a Wiimote, let alone move their couch potato butts to play a videogame. It was bound to fail all along.

Thanks and what xD?  This isn't Weird Al Yankovic, though I kinca see the resemblence :P

So Kinect is sillier than an entire gaming console that nearly (if not successfully) destroyed the name of one of the most well-respected gaming companies of all time in the eye of the core gamer? And they included the name in a follow-up console? Now THAT idea is silly.

:) Yeah, the guy in the avatar reminds me of him for some reason. Especially in the smaller avatars displayed in the news/article comments. Who is he anyways?
