Base building and owning freighters is coming soon. Hopefully in next weeks update. They're also working on improved AA and a new atmosphere algorithm to create better skys.

They said once you discover it stays there for others.  You can see planets on galatic map people have discovered and named.

So it stays when you leave.

Oh OK ! So I was wrong, good to know !

I stayed on Sean's interview where he said that when we were leaving a planet, everything was thrown away and that if we came back the rock that had been destroyed earlier would be there again because of the procedural generation.

The rock thing could be I guess but he stated future update would have bases. Why build a base if you leave and it goes?

Rocks and vegetation would need to respawn since the game is based on resource gathering.  Planets have weather systems it appears also so regrowth of minerals for resource gathering make sense.

if the bases wipe then that makes it pointless to add to game as update.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

Just had it crash while getting out of my ship. For whatever reason this is the only time it crashes for me.

Let yourself die, save it and then pick up your grave. See if that works. If it doesn't let yourself die, save it, reboot your PS4 and then pick up your grave. People on GAF are reporting this works.

The PS5 Exists.

Digital or disc?  Ps4 or PC?

Just curious as it might be a reason I've not had one although typing this will likely bring me a crash :p

PS4, physical copy. It never crashed until this Monday, I had it crash like 10 times. It crashed on me twice yesterday also.

I suppose that the base will stay but be only visible by the player who builds it, and won't be visible for other players who visit the same planet.

I'm very curious on how they will implement this

Yes! More stability! I hope they add "fun" in the next patch, the game really needs it.

Maybe base building will be in the next patch.

Im on ps4 digital since launch not a single crash.

Wonder if there is a reason somehow with that.  My son plays on primary and myself secondary ps4 no crashes on either since launch.

I don't know.  They stated what you discover is visible to others.  I see other named planets discovered by people I'm not sure why you think bases won't be seen.

They should change the inventory system first!

Because I think that your base will be store locally, like the terrain deformation. It would be too much information otherwise.
