Forums - Microsoft - Is This Misleading Marketing? (MS: GoW)

The people that think the XB1 either S or original is able to run games at 4k natively kinda deserve to be ripped off honestly...
Dumb people are what make the U.S the biggest consumer market in the world, you could sell Americans dog shit in a bag so long as it has some good marketing behind it.

7 am and the dumbest thread of the day award is already a safe bet.

User was warned for this post ~ CGI

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Lmao at whatever this thread is. If people can't click one button to see more, then they deserve to be "scammed".

It does not compare to Sean Murray and NMS, which is painfully obvious as to what this thread is reacted at.

Edit: Need "proof".

4K edition makes it pretty damn clear to me...

Maybe you should also make a thread about how every Battlefield 1 trailer showing PC footage with an Xbox advert at the end is deceptive

The description for the video is 'Gears of War 4 - 4K gameplay debut (Gamescom 2016)', it's on an XBox Youtube channel, the mention of it running on a PC is hidden behind the 'show more' and the video ends with 'XB1s, starting at $299'. I think that is without question deceptive.

I'm going to go on a whim to say that I definitely agree with ironmanDX's assessment of you here ...

Don't assume that it's deceptive because snippet of the description =/= full description ...

If you go to this Youtube link you'll see the following discription:

In this short gameplay demo through the ""Rescue"" chapter of Gears of War 4, our heroes JD, Kait and Del are chasing an unknown enemy through an old fort. Along the way, they encounter two fierce Swarm enemies - Drones and Pouncers - for the first time.

To see it's actually running on a PC you have to hit 'see more'. How many people do that, let alone read the description below the video? It's a video on an XBox youtube channel and the video ends with 'XB1s, starting at $299'. I'd say that's about as misleading as you can get. Perhaps they're hoping the ill informed believe the 'S' stands for Scorpio?

edit: and some people in the comments already think it's either the Scorpio or the XB1s.

Almost as misleading as NMS. Or wait, nah, not really. Well, not even close. Not even in the same galaxy. Or another galaxy. Or another... Probably not the same universe. But do they even exist? ;)

But I see why you do that :)

Now imagine if it was a PS4 advert...

It ends with an advert for the XB1s. I wouldn't call that straws. It's misleading, as some of the comments are now showing.

Remember the PewdiePie paid review controversy recently? People blatantly stating he didn't inform anyone he was being sponsored by Warner Bros for the Shadow of Mordor gameplay videos?

They were proven wrong and made to look fools by 1 simple click. The Xbox S ad is a bit misleading but... The information is there to read mere millimeters from the commenters face if they choose to look.

Haha. No they weren't. They made the comments after it was revealed that it was part of the description. Calling them fools doesn't magically make them so. They pointed out that a great number of people who watch youtube videos never check the description, which is true.

Didn't believe your edited message until i clicked link, read the comments aaaaand i'm outta here!
