They've been pretty much a complete circus since the game's original reveal during 2006.

 

 

At this point I wouldnt be surprised that they delay the game till 2017 in time for Neo and Scorpio to be out in the stores.

As a whole, Square has been a joke since the Enix merger. I personally haven't enjoyed a FF game since FF X... The last title by Squaresoft.

My main wonder at the moment is why SE are yet to address this rumour to either confirm or deny it... I mean surely if it is true then the earlier the delay is announced the better as nothing annoys fans more than a last minute delay with no communication!!

Disappointed at the delay but...there's one thing I'm worried about the game.

And that its the performance of the game itself. Playing in 720p isnt a issue for me.

But if the game subpar 20 FPS or worse - oh boy...

I think I'll wait till I buy the game rather than day 1. Maybe week 1 or month 1 after its release.

Dont want to spend $60 for a game that will be a mess to play on a regular PS4. Cant see them optimizing the game just for Playstation Neo especially when its quite doubtful that the PSNeo will be released this year (it'll be announced but I doubt they'll release it right now) and the fact that its a multiplat title with the Xbox One which it has its own advanced version of the console coming out next year.

So ya - no regrets on not buying the DE especially after the season pass announcement.

Digital foundry made a frame-test video of the Trial of Titan demo of E3 and the game's performance was very good (they tested the Xbox One version only, though).

Digital foundry Titan Demo for X1 (and PS4 at the end). Very constant 30 FPS..and there are rumors of a better build running around according to the video. Plus this was E3 and they are still optimizing the game. Very impressive this game can handle all that happening on the screen.

Squaresoft made FFX-2 as well. It's only the western version that says "Square Enix", because the merger was finalized in between the Jp and western release.

Also, the directors, producers and writers of FF 12 and onward have all been Square employees who have never worked for Enix, so blaming the Enix merger doesn't really make sense.

All we can blame is that with Enix merger( after  Spirit Within disater), Square lost Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Looked amazing to me. It's either a game you like or won't like. A delay isn't going to make you like this.

Long development times and delays apparently equal a lot of hype. Now, I don't understand how, because both of those things decrease. Not to mention the incredible amount of spite and negativity that the game has received for the past 2 years since it's re-unveiling. If anything, I'd say there's very little hype or excitement for it.
