That is very true, and is great. Well it would be if Nintendo were making it. 

Sony are making more money as a manufacturer than they would be going third party. Nintendo probably aren't in that boat. They're currently making these AAA console titles and selling to 13 million potential users because they're having trouble getting people to buy their hardware. Games are no problem, everyone loves nintendo games. It's the hardware that is very expensive to R&D and produce. When they can elimate that completely and sell to an audience 10x bigger.

We'll see what hapens with the NX of course.

It would be amazing if we could get 6 hardware numbers.

you don't make much money as a console manufacturer. you make money as a platform holder. and you have controler as a platform holder.
hardware profit is low. Wii/DS was the exception with decent hardware profits.

I think most people would be fine with five as long as the combination is PS4/XB1/Wii U/3DS/PSV and not PS4/XB1/Wii U/PS3/360. But I've said this to Aquamarine before.

Vita is a worthless data point. I'd rather keep the data we get now if it meant that getting 3DS+PSV would take away 360+PS3.

Which value do 360 and PS3 numbers have at this point?

360 and PS3(?) sell more than Vita, so why even have Vita? If we have to have only 5 data points, then swap PS3 with 3DS.

But why we should have necessary Vita+3DS VS 360+PS3?

i personally ok with all, but if i should say my opinion, 3DS should be here.

I'm ok even with 3DS+360 or 3DS+PS3. Well, whatever, but 3DS at this point is too relevant for be replaced by 360 or PS3, imo.

 

If i need to vote between the two i choise 3DS+Vita anyway. Just my opinion.

Isn't the PSVita the main 3DS competitor?
