So I just got a few PS2 classics and they told me to use the touchpad for start and select.  The X button works to skip past the intro videos and I get to the title screen but start will not work.  I tried pressing and swiping on the touchpad.  I thought maybe my controller was messed up but switched controllers and it still didn't work.  I also tested the controller out on some PS4 games and the touchpad worked so I know it's not that.  Then I switched which PS2 game I was playing from Ape Escape 2 to the Warriors and it was the same thing.  Is there something I can change in settings or some trick I'm missing?

I bought Max Payne 1 on PS2 classics and the touchpad works completely fine.
