How do I get 100 % completion? I beat it and it says 86%  can someone help me out

You have to find all the gold boxes and unlock all the characters.

Essentially, you need a crown on each stage.

yeah, explore every nook and cranny of every stage to get all the gold boxes and trophies. You'll have a crown on the stage if you've completed that stage. Also, all characters must be unlocked either through SSE, or through other means.

Gamefaqs can give you some info if you're stuck finding a gold box or character.

Also be sure to grab every static trophy you find, as some of them count towards your completion % as well.

The one with the flags means you need to go back and find the orange boxes and secret doors. Most of the time if you get the item you can just press start and exit to map and it'll count.I'm at 99% right now just gotta find and complete the secret maze too lazy :/

i thought the same, gamefaqs was the solution for that pesky 98 percent that i had

I beat Emissary with only 78%.
To complete it.
When u clear the stage a flag should not appear (on the map) if the flag is there than u have not completed that stage.
u have to find trophies songs golden box, go through different doors, etc...
