Raiders really pretty lucky to have that one TD so far. Not pretty

Yep OAK is really not playoff material.

True. I think this is one of the reasons that the statement 'defense wins championships' carries such weight. It's not so much just that defense is important as it is the fact that a top-level defense is typically an effort balanced across many players, and a loss of even a single great defensive player doesn't doom you (eg; Texans with JJ Watt missing the year).

OTOH, a high-flying offense depends on the QB to tie it all together. A Rodgers, Matt Ryan, or Derek Carr removed, and the whole house of cards collapses despite a bunch of great players remaining on the field for the unit.

Eh, I could give the excuse of Oakland losing their starting QB and then their backup but then again so did Dallas at the start of the season and they ended up going 13-3. So idk. Oakland has a solid team I think, just unlucky on the health front.

Boring game so far.

Well these have been some really one-sided games.

I'm 99% sure at least one game tomorrow will actually not be a snooze fest; namely talking about the Giants v Packers game.

And here I was looking forward to some really competitive games today. 0/2, hope tomorrow is 2/2

Really boring games today. I was most unsure of Raiders vs Texans and it looks like the Raiders were the least reliable.

I am getting closer to panicking with each passing hour. It's rare that all home teams win on wild card weekend and with Miami@Pittsburgh looking like a surefire win for the Steelers for anyone who isn't a drunkard, OMG OMG OMG...

You'll be pleased to here that the last time all four home teams won on Wild Card Weekend was 2011, and before then, 2006. We're right on schedule for another home sweep. Personally, I'd be more worried about Eli striking another deal with the devil to curse the Green Bay defense again. I'm honestly can't figure out how he has so many souls to sell...

But yeah, today's games really sucked. To bring up an old argument, I think this iillustrates just why the playoff field should not be expanded from 12 to 14. Imagine the Redskins in this year's playoffs...
