R.O.B. would be a really good tattoo to have. I just grabbed my R.O.B. from the closet last night after seeing him in Brawl.

Me personally, even though they are not "Nintendo", I have always wanted to get Bub and Bob from "Bubble Bobble" on my forearm.

You could even dig into some of the great characters from SMRPG. Like Mallow.

 Not at all. They do not get them because they are fanboys. Me for example, I want Bub and Bob for all the memories I had in my preteen days of playing Bubble Bobble with my best friend growing up. We moved to opposite ends of the country but those days are some of my best. We were inseperable for the first 11 years of my life. He sold me all his NES stuff to my family before he moved... but he wouldn't give me Bubble Bobble. :(

May sound "sad" to someone like you, but for all you know, your memories are "sad" to some other people.
