Do you guys think this means it ll get good 3rd party support?

I think it'll get great support from Japanese devs and possibly OK support from Western devs if it sells well enough.

Already has Dragon Quest XI and Sonic, I'd say Monster Hunter 5 is a lock, a hybrid machine is the perfect home for that IP.

Another question, why would Nintendo feel the need to hide this? This isnt a original concep. Plug n Play has existed for over a 2 decades. Both SONY and MS have something already in the arsenal similar to this.

Nintendo keeps everything under lock and key, perhaps the detachable controllers also have some other new feature we don't know about.

They probably were pissed that Ubi Soft leaked the Wii U concept ahead of time, so this time they've been more strict with the NDAs it seems like, but eventually there was going to be a leak.

Maybe they dont wanna give MS any idea's.

MS has that surface lineup of tablets.

They already have windows store for pcs.... how hard would it be for them to copy nintendo?

Start selling tablet hybrid consoles, that have a docking station that hooks up to the pc.

Sounds like MS could greatly benfit from doing something simular.

I don´t want a hybrid...
I bet a regular console with those spec could be sold for $200 or less. Even if the thing ends up beeing $200 I´d feel ripped off. I don´t like portable gaming.

Hopefully there will be a home focused unit, if not I´m out.

Yeah I cant see this selling for more than 249-299$.
Nintendo simply cant price this higher than that, if they want to make sure it sells well.

$299.99 would be fine if it also can play Android apps/games (via Nintendo's own store, where they can take licensing fees for these apps).

Like I said in the other thread

iPad Mini (16GB) = $399.99, only plays iOS touch based games/apps.

Nintendo NX = $299.99, plays Android games/apps, full Nintendo console games and console ports, Virtual Console, Has Multiplayer/Motion Based Gaming, Can hook up to TV or play at home.

Which is the better value here?

Wii U + 3DS = $500

Nintendo NX = $300

Again, what's the better value?

If I'm a parent this thing probably saves me several hundred dollars.

Somewhat disappointed by the news. I was hoping for a console and handheld, with the "hybrid" element being games playable on both platforms due to scaling. Guess they just fused both machines together. I also don't care for Nintendos handhelds anymore after 3DS XL turned out to be the worst handheld I've ever owned so the portability aspect does nothing for me. I have a Vita and iPad Air 2 covering that.

0.5Tflops sound incredibly low, so 720p gaming is still gonna be a thing. Ultimately it depends on the games, if 2017 has amazing games then I will get one.

500 GFLOPS for a portable is incredible if they pull that off.

There probably will be some kind of home dock that provides additional power for those who really care about TV gaming.

Nope. I'm not interested in the handheld. I'm gonna pray for a console announcement.
