Gas stations, those modern looking shops.... they dont scream FF for me.And that is my biggest gripe with this game:Presentation.I dont know why they dont do a fantasy or high fantasy setting(FFX would be the perfect example) instead of trying to be a "realistic" game.I mean, even FF13 is much better in this aspect. It was a futuristic setting, but at least it had a fantasy aspect on it.

I may be exagerating on this, but this seems like more of a GTA wannabe(In presentation), than an actual FF game.

It's fantasy grounded on reality, as they've pointed out several times. This is not the first time Final Fantasy attempts something like this, as Final Fantasy VII (and it's spin offs like Dirge of Cerberus, Advent Children and the upcoming Remake), VIII and part of the XIII series (Lightning Returns) were heavy on realism, meshed with fantasy. Thing about XV is that it could take the crown in this aspect, but it is still a fantasy game primarily, and I doubt the presentation ever implied a GTA kind of game as everything we've shown so far points to the other direction.

Hadoram: uhm no. Thats called beeing objektive and those mentioned things all are facts.

Every company makes mistakes, speeking about them is not "bitching". I know this is hard to understand for fanboys though.

So I (hadoram) was banned for what ? Somebody blamed me i would bitch about nintendo by just giving my opinion based on facts. I do this about every company. That called critism.

The moderator need to be a huge fanboy to ban me for this LOL. He should ban the other guy who blamed me, not me by justing responding and explaining/disproving it.

But there is a clear difference(for me anyways) betwenn FFXV and the other FFs that you listed. While they do try to be a more "realistic" game than other entries in the series, the towns and world in general are still very fantasy like. For example, the cities in FF7 for example are more sci-fi than actually modern(by modern I mean like in the reality). While they do try to make it more "present day" style, the airships are still very fantasy-like, you dont drive, or hardly any at all, cars in the game, instead using chocobos or the like for transport, and outside of Midna, the villages and small towns are very fantasy-like.And while FVIII is a bit more "realistic" than FFVII in that regard, its still very fantasy for the same reasons listed above(I didnt play Lightining Returns, so I wont comment on that).

FFXV on the other hands, have you riding cars, having to buy fuel for it, the shops looks like real shops, gas stations looks like gas stations, cities looks like actual cities and so on.The only fantasy elements that it has is the existence of magic(and even that they seem to throw "magic granedes" to actually cast a magic.Very weird.), monsters that roam the wild and the occasional Aeon. And powerful crystals. If this were any other game, and again this is personal, that didnt have the legacy of being a fantasy game like FF, I obviously wouldnt have any issue with it because I also wouldnt have any expectation out of it in that regard. But since its FF, I feel that they have driven way too off of what makes FF.... FF.I know, I will wait for the game release to actually give my final judgemnt on it, and being a FF game makes it almost certain that it will be a great game, but I cant feel as excited with this like I was with past titles, even with FFXIII to be quite honest.

I personally think this is in part fault with Square wishes to want FF to be mainstream again, the way it was at its height with FFVII through FFX.And if they think making it seem like the real world is the solution, I think they are mistaken.

Just warning that the chances for you being banned again for this post are high. Not only are you calling people fanboys in the worst way possible(That is probably what got you banned in the first post, and adding the fact that you used that word to atack someone, and not build an argument), but you are also atacking a mod directly in a thread, which goes against the rules of the forum.

If you want to present your facts and build a good argument, please do so without calling names, or insulting other people. That will get nowhere, and will not move the discussion forward.I wanted to say that so that you can have a better time in this forum!

Edit:Not only that, but this has nothing to do with the topic at hand.So yeah....

This is the last time Ill answer, because not only this has nothing to do with the thread, but you are also spamming many threads and creating more than one just for this, and I dont want to feed that. But to the question at hand:

Here, this aprt is where you made the insult:

"I know this is hard to understand for fanboys though."

I dont think I need to explain the reason why this would be insulting. You know fully well why.Next time, try to be more civil.Talk to people, make your argument. If things start heating up, or the other one start taunting you into calling names, just stop answering.Simple as that.

Did I even said that he wont understand my arguments?

No.

BTW he was BLAMING ME TO BITCHING. WHY WASNT HE BANNED?

If anything, most of FFXV's (particulary the biggest cities) feel more like a futuristic Renaissance than modern, real locations. The overall landscapes do feel modern, but I'd say they are the same in every other game, minus the hardware improvements to make it more real.

I'm not sure I understand the sentiment, though, as Final Fantasy has always enjoyed trying to reinvent itself with every entry. Compare VI to VII and they look like nothing alike, even if we don't take the hardware improvement in consideration. Likewise, XII and XIII feel, at first sight, like two different franchises altogether. Final Fantasy VII still looked modern in most places, coupled with the sci-fi/fantasy elements. Then there's VIII, which not only had you driving cars, also demanded the player go to school like a normal student and most of their heavy plot elements (at least in the first disc) didn't stray too much from current, modern standards, Balamb design aside. In FFXV you still ride chocobos, get Guardian Forces for you to invoke and pretty much every trademark element of the series except for the combat system. It's more grounded, but I honestly see the fantasy/sci-fi aspect all over it, no matter what trailer, video or promotional element I can see. Heck, there's even the impossibly-made hairstyles all over this game. No way it can be confused with anything except for Final Fantasy.

And even some shops have their weird flavor all out them, like the weapon's:

I don't really dislike this more grounded fantasy based on reality take. It's not like they've ever went full with it, so I'll embrace it and see how it pans out.

Hmmmmm maybe.I think its then more the way I see things that makes me feel this way.I always felt like the perfect balance of having a medieval setting(use of swords, castles and animal transpirt and stufff) with a more sci-fi/modern setting(Use of guns and automated vehicles, modern looking cities and stuff) was perfect in FFX.So I always had that game as basis for comparison with other games. So for me this is a too far departure of that look and feel.Still, it dosent mean the game will be bad or I wont enjoy it.It just means that I wont buy on launch or anywhere near it XD.
