Forums - Nintendo - Will all of Nintendo's smartphone games have an AR hook?

Augmented Reality really seems to be the way Nintendo is trying to differientiate itself in the mobile market

Pokemon Go has AR.

The 3DS has AR - it seems AR efforts on the 3DS ran out of steam a bit ago. Perhaps Nintendo has since been focusing on AR experiences for mobile?

Just imagine how fun a really well done Splatoon AR game could be like where you could figuratively paint the town red!

Or an Animal Crossing/Tomodachi Life type game where the characters live in your actual home, school or workplace.

AR seems to be Nintendo's obvious direction...

Perhaps a key component of the NX too?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

I don't think their first wave of DeNA games are going to feature something like that since they're all probably in the middle of production but I can see Nintendo persuing AR with other games, like you've said.  On another point, I think the success of Pokemon GO's augmented reality gimmick gave Nintendo a larger incentive to be more experimental when it comes to their mobile offerings, to which I would be happy about because doing so would give help give Nintendo greater seperation between their hardware and mobile offerings and help avoid the risk of both markets cannibalizing each others potential profits.  I actually think mobile is the prime place for Nintendo to just go hog wild when it comes to experimental gameplay because there's so much of the same crap on mobile that people would probably jump to at least try those games just because they're something new.

No. Not every game has to be the same or use the same features.

Banned for no reason? Why?

Basically, this his post just proves that this thread is just about bitching NIntendo.

Hadoram: uhm no. Thats called beeing objektive and those mentioned things all are facts.

Every company makes mistakes, speeking about them is not "bitching". I know this is hard to understand for fanboys though.

So I (hadoram) was banned for what ? Somebody blamed me i would bitch about nintendo by just giving my opinion based on facts. I do this about every company. That called critism.

The moderator need to be a huge fanboy to ban me for this LOL. He should ban the other guy who blamed me, not me by justing responding and explaining/disproving it.
