Forums - Nintendo - Part 2! - Nintendo Playstation analyzed - Ben Heck

If the Nintendo Playstation came out, would you have bought it?

Only if it had good games 3 50.00%

Yes in the hopes that I would get good games 3 50.00%

No it would suck 0 0%

So it's basically what it sounds like, an SNES with a Sony CD unit attached. Interesting that you need that cart plugged in to us the CD functions. That might have been just a proto-type thing, though.

This was still interesting, even though it's just a SNES with some added RAM via a cartridge. If this was anywhere near the final design, I'm glad this never came to fruition. It really wasn't anything special but it would have been better than CDi. It would have collided with Nintendo's Ultra 64, and make a really muddy generation for Nintendo.

Can't wait for next week's repair. Maybe Metal Jesus will look into getting his 64 DD blue cartridge looked at.

I think that's very similar to how the N64

DD ended up working, at least with F-Zero X, so perhaps not. That might've been intentional as a piracy measure.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Can't see video in the OP but did you mean Ben Heck from the Ben Heck show?

Also just so people know, this is the only prototype that's ever been publicly seem for the Nintendo PlayStation.

Unfortunately this thread had you beat by a few hours. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=218659
