What? COD5 cut COD4's sales short?
Doubtful. COD2 was still selling pretty well when #3's suckage came out. It still sold a few extra hundred thousand copies, thanks to the Plat. edition of the game.
At 5.5m-odd units, COD4 is just...Amazing in terms of sales. It's crazy that it's sold more than 2 and 3 did combined.

At the rate it's going, I think it could crack between 7-8 million copies on the Xbox 360 ALONE! It's a beast now, carried forward by the momentum of people that get their friends to play it, so they can play online together.
Edit: It's the Xbox 360's counterstrike. :)

ya its a beast the online is what really pulls huge! loved the campaign hell I bought a copy for my PS3 cause I got a nephew playing it and a couple other friends! it seams harder online on the PS3 maybe because theres more noobs on 360!

It will....to some extent at least. I think it'll end up in the 7-8 million area, maybe even more.
It definately has the best legs out of any FPS I've yet seen. And it looks like it's stolen a big chunk of Halo 3's thunder.

I find the Xbox controller is better for games like FPS'. I have a PS3 as well, but I find the analogue sticks are more accurate that the PS3 ones. I perfer the shoulder buttons better on the Xbox as well. But I like the PS3's X, circle, square buttons more than the Xbox. The Xbox ones are a little annoying for me.

COD4 is a beast! Anybody know when that GOTY edition is going to be released? With the extra maps for free. I still haven't picked up this game, but I want to. I think I'd rather wait for the release with the free stuff though, hehe :)

Amazon.co.uk says April 11, hope its true.
Amazon.com doesnt have it.
Gamefaqs says April 1 for the US though.
