The selection of games is awesome! I hope this Mini NES releases outside of North America...

Its already announced for $100 AUD here in Australia. Sooook hopefully that confirms for Europe and Japan region as well. Not sure how long other countries normally get a Nintendo product or if they even do get Nintendo products.

Maybe this is somehow related to NX, maybe they using this NES Mini like market tool for NX because maybe NX actually new NES!?

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.”

After so many remastered games, not we will have remastered consoles. :)

I think this is a good way for Ninty to pull some extra cash come November (they don't really have anything else for the Holidays). Without cartridge support, or even the ability to add more games, this is more of a novelty toy - like the ones released by Sega - than a viable retro device.

I've got my eyes of the AVS, which plays NES, Famicon, and hombrew carts with 100% accuracy, has updatable firmware, and online leaderboards.

I´m tempted, but I feel like 30 games isn´t enough, there are so many other games that could´ve been there

Castlevania 3 (much better than 2 imo)
TMNT 2 The Arcade Game
TMNT 3
Batman
Gremlins 2

All were great games imo.

Gremlins 2! I remember renting that from the local video store when I was a kid What did Gizmo throw? Tomatoes?

Castlevania 3 and the Turtles games would be awesome additions. I'd love Super Dodge Ball too.

The NES had so many games, and now over 30 years later, 30 games seem like a low number.I wish they´d have put at least 50 games in there.

I'm sure someone will hack the thing and be able to dump all the NES roms on there lol

Buying.
Please follow it up with a SNES and N64 version Nintendo.

Nintendo should give us the option to buy add more games to it though even if it's via USB flash drive.

That first one was painfully difficult!

Wish it had Battle City in it but nonetheless it has a pretty solid selection of games so I might be getting one. :)

Also hoping it doesn't have shit sound emulation like the atGames mega drives. Those consoles sound nothing like a regular Mega Drive.
