Is Sony resting on their laurels again?

Yes 48 20.87%

No 137 59.57%

Maybe 27 11.74%

They stopped? 18 7.83%

Total:230

they have a ton of exclusives coming. Not a huge Sony fan but they are hardly 'resting'. I mean for gods sake they have a virtual reality system coming out, as well as the Neo or whatever, plenty of stuff going on.

if anything (as per usual) the one who seems relatively quiet in their strange spot in the home console market would be Microsoft. Not enough big exclusives to help the Xone come back to the top IMO

E3 was just a month ago ...

What do you want from Sony and more importantly what are you expecting their competitors to deliver in a similar time frame ?

No, they're being patient. They have numerous anticipated games coming up plus Playstation VR. They aren't marketing like mad or doing crazy deals but that's cause we're in the summer drought, not the holidays. Also, they have to act confident, not panicked.

Not at all, they're just not responding to things in panic or rushing games out before they're ready.

Only thing they're missing is a big holiday title but I think both Sony/MS are starting to realise third parties own November

They have a bunch of games releasing this year and next year. Don't people buy consoles to play games? There's also a PS4 slim and neo releasing at some point. You have a strange idea of resting on their laurels means.

Sony didn't really understand how they got there in the first place, so it's too much to ask for that they keep delivering. Whatever that is.

Sorry but sony is not nintendo. Sony didn't pulll a wii magicially out of it's unmentionables like nintendo did. Sony's consoles have a extremely high chance to outsell it's competitors every gen.

It's part of the Sony cycle:

Big success Sony -> Arrogant Sony -> I need to sell Buildings Sony -> Big success Sony... etc.

Right now they are on the "Big success Sony" side of the scale. They will soon get to the Arrogant part.

To be fair, Nintendo did the arrogant thing first with that infamous "we don't need you, we've got Phillips!" move, later followed by the "if it has Wii in the title, it will sell truck loads" situation.  There is also the "lol we can sell the 3DS for any price and people eat it up" event, if we're counting handhelds.

Sony had the PS3 launch and Vita memory cards, while Microsoft had the Xbox One launch and GFWL, so Nintendo is still in the lead.

Of course, Nintendo has a Nintendo cycle too. Big Success Nintendo -> Stupid/Arrogant Nintendo -> Nintendo should go third party Nintendo -> Big Success Nintendo, etc...

Even Microsoft has one. Stupid Microsoft -> Even more stupid Microsoft -> Stupid Microsoft, etc...

We aren't going to the next cycle at least for the next 2/3 years. Keep that stock brother.
