Damn it, internet trolls. I tried to install it via apk and my phone got nuts. I had to  reboot it to factory configurations and reinstall all my apps

That's why I'm not touching that again.

I highly doubt it, there's been no reports of anyone actually getting banned from using the apk to install it. I've used it and had no problems.

The device they are talking about has 1 GB of RAM which seems sufficient to run the game, but the AR mode is disabled because the Moto G has no Gyro.

If you are eying a cheap android phone, make sure it's bloat-free, a Nexus or Motorolla phones. Some android phones have 2 gigs of RAM but they run terribly thanks to the pre-installed bloat. 

 

And yup, this is just one "AHA, I do need apps" moments you are bound to experience if you have a Windows Phone.

So yeah, just get a mid-range nexus phone.

Oh, thanks a lot, I nearly bought a Huawei P8 Lite for 179 €, but after some googling, it doesn't have a gyroscope! That's good to know. Welp, I searched a little more and below 300 € there isn't really an option. So I think I'll just wait until september and get the new iPhone. I wanted to get that anyway and I think I can wait that long for Pokemon Go. =)

And I still regret buying a Windows Phone!

I have a phone with 1 GB of RAM and it runs fine. Doesn't seem to be any slower then other devoces I've seen on YouTube running the game.

If you really want immersion though, make sure the phone has gyro otherwise you won't be able to use a real life background to catch 'em all and that gets boring tbh.
