Forums - Gaming - Pokémon GO is now the biggest mobile game in U.S. history

Wow, never thought I'd see anything top Candy Crush, that game was huge. GG Pokemon.

Around the Network

wow!! a good time to be a Pokemon fan :) got to be released in Europe and Japan soon

of course the hype will fade sooner or later, but Nintendo can definitely slow down the process with updates

personally, I prefer Pokemon Go addiction than Candy Crush or Angry Birds, much more interactive

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

And?

So you can't really compare instal base game that is 4 years on market and instal base of game that is less than week on only smaler numbers of market.

Well the point was to compare the difference between having peak/downloads vs active userbase... Pokemon is less than a week old and etc but a game with 500 million downloads that has been at the top charts for quite a while now should be able to have a larger active userbase than a game with less than 10% the amounts of downloads even if it is new.

But since it doesn't, that is my point in having an active userbase vs just having tons of downloads. In order for Pokemon to be a success... It has to keep players in otherwise, the number of downloads really doesn't matter.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

THATS AMAZING! I just hope they'll be able to continue the momentum. It hasn't even been a week yet has it? :O

Oh Wow :O I like to see the impact that Pokemon can have, could this be like the pokemon craziness in the late 90's? Over here the game has not been oficially released so I've yet to see its impact by myself.

It's pretty amazing what this game is doing. Despite how much of a mess it is, it's having a big success, it's getting people outside, and it's getting people meeting with fellow fans and strangers. From what I've seen on videos and pictures, this lil cheap game is doing some really wonderful things. Hopefully it stays strong for a long time :' )
