Forums - Gaming - What are some of your proud feats while playing online with other players?

Playing online brings the variable of having real people and not robotic AI in which you must entrust responsibilities or have the task of facing them.

Getting things done when you are dealing with real people may sometimes be complicated and hard, so I ask you, thinking on those moments when it was hard to get something done - competitive or coop - with other(s) human being(s) while playing a game, what are some of the feats you've achieved while playing online with other people for which you feel the most pride or most satisfaction in getting them done?

Mario Kart 8 online, Toad's Turnpike. I remember it well. I got wrecked by everybody in the first lap. Then I Blue-Shelled my friend in first place, got triple mushrooms to catch up, then at the last minute I got one of those plant thingies that chomped everyone one after another in close proximity. I eked out my craziest win in any online game ever. Soooo satisfying.

Gears of War 3, playing King of the Hill with random people. The match was extremely tight, our team had 149 points out of 150 and enemy team had something like 145. They held the ring with all players and the ring had just enough points for them to win the match.

I somehow managed to wallbounce my way through all their players and break the ring when they were one point short. They gibbed me but my teammates were already at the next ring and we won :) I felt like a hero hehe.

C to Shiny C achievement in Ultra Street Fighter 4, pretty much meant having to play with every fighter to the level where you can win 20-30 fights with them to rank each one of the 39 at the time characters in the game, really is a great achievement to aim for if you want to move away from just picking Ryu/Ken in street fighter 4 because it gives you a reason to learn off how to beat down with all of the characters.

Also I find that knowing a characters strengths is one part learned from this, but you'll also see from doing it what each characters weakness's are in ways.

Think I'm sat at around 3x the current gold cap in wow too... think that's an achievement ... in ways :s

That one time where I won that match in Rocket League, what a blast. Didn't happen again though.

One time I scored about as many points as all the other players combined in a GoW Ascension match. Matter of fact I had all my good online moments in that game. I think it's because it really wasn't like any other online MP so people hadn't already mastered it like an FPS where I instantly get my ass kicked even if I buy it day one

I am Iron Man

I'm usually shit at online fps but there was a moment during KZ2 where are ran around with a shotgun and went on a massive killing spree.

To give an indication of how odd it was, usually I would get between 2-5 kills. This one round I went on to get over 40 kills. It was a rare thing of beauty and I've not been able to recreate that magic on any online fps ever since.

Running 96% successful dungeon runs in Everquest with hardly any waiting time for anyone to get an efficient group together.
Running successful raids in WoW together with my wife. It takes more administration then you would think to keep everyone happy.

There was that time I played Splatoon where everyone was trying to kill me and I was alone, and I almost died so many times, but no one could stop me. I never died once that match and I think I had like 15 kills. So awesome...

You know, I made this thread thinking about one thing I did in Killzone 2 as well. xD

It's been a while since I played the game so my memory is not helping with details and naming things, but...

I was playing in this level with some buldings and constructions over what looks like a deserted zone full of sand and wind.

To reach the other team you had to either go through a crowded area with buldings and stuff, or go through a relatively opened passageway.

Two snipers were taking cover in that passageway, so I used the special ability to emulate the appearance of their team (if they point their aim at me they would know I am their enemy).

I walk towards them, right in the middle of the passageway, right in front of them where they just had to shoot me and I am dead, hoping that they don't put their aims at me and have my cover blown, and they ignored me completely, they believed I was part of their team.

I went ahead, went passed them, and went to the last guy sniping in that passageway and then I put myself behind each one of them and killed them with meele from behind. :D
