Comedy is hard, not everyone laughs at the same things. But sometimes it is a matter of execution and some games really get it.

The only reason I finished kid icarus uprising despite it's garbage controls is because it was hilarious

I consider Portal and Undertale as comedy games. That's part of the reason why they're very popular.

And you're right OP. Comedy games are hard to make that's we we don't see a lot them.

Edit: does unintentional comedy count? Because Heavy Rain and Beyond were campy and hilarious. 

Dragon Age: Origins had me laughing more than any other game, shame the sequels didn't live up to the same level of hilarity.

The witcher 3 had me laughing a lot more than I thought I would.
