I felt that way in Last of Us and Uncharted 2/what I played of 3. It seems to be a thing with Naughty Dog games lately. Maybe U4 will be the same way, idk.

Too linear for me, too predictable with the level design. AI was laughably bad, especially in stealth segments. The best things about the game were the narrative (great), setting (game world, backstories and lore scattered around were amazing), and MP imho. Before they ruined it with pay2win, anyway.

You'll definitely feel the same way about Uncharted 4. There are a handful of open-area sections that call for improvisation, but there are also a lot of areas that funnel you from one set piece to the next.

The storytelling, as always, is great, though. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Naughty Dog wanted to break into the movie business, it could rival studios like Pixar, Disney, and DreamWorks.

Some of the combat sections felt a little rushed. Specially the ones at the end.

I don't know if its because I didn't want the game to finish, but I didn't connect with the last guys I was killing like I did during the rest of the game.

I know its weird to say that you can connect with the enemies in a personal level, but I really had encountered feelings about the enemies (even the infected ones some times), except for the last bit.

Back to topic, to me the gameplay is revolutionary. But I can understand how some people may feel frustrated by Joel's lack of accuracy and how easily infected ones kill you in this game.

Im currently playing through it for the 3rd time on PS4 but I'm doing it on GROUNDED difficulty and I can honestly say, GROUNDED difficulty is the way to play this game. You don't have no supernatural hearing skill and there is barely anything to scavenge so you really forced to search and save your ammo and parts, enemy AI is much better and bullets can kill you instantly, it feels a lot more realistic of how the world would be in that situation. I recommend people try it this way.

Great game but I think the moments where you had to take on the enemies were too few and far between. The infected were pretty dumb but the human conflict very engaging. Sorry was great as well.

Interesting. Might give that a try.

OT: I'm not a fan of cutscenes in videogames, so of course I dont like how cutscene heavy it is. Gameplay is fine, but there was nothing that hooked me to the game. Also, it takes up half of my PS3's storage and that makes me mad.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Was a big fan of the stealth elements. I'm generally less of a fan of aiming with analog sticks, though. Too clunky. But that would have been rectified if I had a mouse to aim with. Either way, excellent stealth sequences, and a killer story.

I thought it was pretty refreshing for a third person game actually. The crafting and the stealth, in particular. It really gave you a sense that you were desperately sneaking around through hordes of crazy dudes and Clickers.

Yeah I have read that about U4, its why I haven't played it yet. I think its 3rd on my GameFly Q now, behind Carmageddon and Doom.

I liked the gameplay as much as the story, i even spent a lot of time with the multiplayer.

I just finished it. Loved every single second of the story. Great stuff!

But..

I didnt particularly enjoy the gameplay, I just wanted to go on to next cutscene to see what happend next. I would probably enjoy a movie of the game much more. I know this is probably blasphemy around here.. but did anyone else feel the same? or am I alone in all of this?

You're not alone.  The gameplay plays good sometimes, but in some areas you're required to multitask a little too much with keeping track of every enemie's position.
