Forums - Gaming - Shuhei Yoshida: Sea of Thieves "fantastic", praises Xbox games lineup

http://www.dualshockers.com/2016/07/05/watch-sonys-shuhei-yoshida-present-the-xbox-e3-press-conference-line-up-on-official-livestream/

I’m quite sure that not many of you ever imagined to see a Sony Interactive Entertainment executive go on air during an official livestream to present Microsoft’s E3 press conference line-up of games. Yet, it happened.

A few days ago, Sony Japan Studio hosted a livestream on Nico Nico, with SIE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida and PR Yasuhiro Kitao doing a recap of the trade show recently held in Los Angeles for the Japanese audience.

They showcased Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, and then moved to Microsoft, spending about six minutes showcasing the line-up of the rivals console manufacturer.

Yoshida-san did not spare praise, with positive comments on ReCore, We Happy Few, and commented how Scalebound and and Sea of Thieves were showcased with live multiplayer gameplay, also calling what was shown of Rare’s game “fantastic” and mentioning that he’s looking forward to it.

He also remembered how Tekken Director and Producer Katsuhiro Harada was present at the count-down launch event for the Xbox One in Japan.

Kitao-san mentioned that he’s a big Gears of War fan, defined Forza Horizon 3 “beautiful” and commented on the cuteness of the customizable Xbox One controllers.

If you’re wondering about the spurt of hilarity about Final Fantasy XV, it isn’t about the game itself, but because someone made a mistake in writing the slides, and added a “プ” at the end of the title, effectively titing the game “Final Fantasy FifteenPu.” Apparently everyone found that quite funny.

At the end of the video they move to talk about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild, with Yoshida-san showering the game with praise and mentioning that he can’t wait to play it.

You can watch the recording below. Many see the console competition as an all-out war,  but if Shu Yoshida can appear on video basically publicizing the competition, maybe we can learn a bit from him, and understand that gaming isn’t supposed to be done in the trenches (unless you’re playing Battlefield 1 or Verdun, I guess).

At the end of the day, with every single game on PC. Is there such a thing as "XBox" lineup?

Yoshida is a likable person. You get the feeling that he wants to be honest whenever he can.
