Forums - Gaming - Some "console fans" just accepted that PC is the superior gaming platform.

That's factually incorrect and is a lie.

Saying some people think that would be fine, but saying they 'accepted' it would suggest it's a fact which is simply not true.

And you missed the best part. The original title started with the word "most" instead of "some" but some quick-witted mod nerfed my clickbaity title hard T.T

Also, I didn't suggest anything is a fact. I just didn't state the, apparently, obvious.

oh wait

When it comes to PC. (It's not a matter of "if" but "when") it will be vastly superior.

Imagine if PS4 games and Nintendo games are also on PC!

Nintendo games are on PC. And they look better than the originals.

Only a matter of time for the PS4 to happen.

PC won't be the dominant gaming platform for a long time. Not because it's missing exclusives but because it's a PC.

At an estimated 180~ million steam users, it's already the dominant platform. It has more exclusives, more games than any other platform.

Xbox is the OS? Thats an interesting and probably acurrate proposition. But I think the appropriate term would be service.

Xbox is one of the OS's Microsoft has named on the Xbox One.

Cheaper third parties? I don't think so. Prices ar similar on PC and consoles.

PC has always had cheaper games. And that hasn't changed this generation either.

Hows about those free upgrades we are getting on Steam to the new remasters 100% free that are full priced on console?  (Like Bioshock and Skyrim.)

Don't forget, once Neo/Scorpio are out, its utterly pointless t buy/own PS4/Xbone.

I think you are missing the point of the vanilla Xbox One and Playstation 4. Those consoles will continue to exist, continue to be sold as a more price-sensative product.

The only reason Microsoft created the scorpio is because they caught wind that Sony was creating a more powerful PS4 for 4k. Microsoft had not been happy that Sony surprised them in the past, which forced them to quickly try and up their clock speed. For Microsoft its pretty much pointless, but for Sony they've solidified that they created the Neo for two reasons:

1) Deliver a 4k experience (Since they've been working on it)

2) An attempt to keep the few who want a high end gaming experience using their platform and not upgrading to PC (Which seems to be the case because of the rise of PC gaming sales).

The Neo and Scorpio will not be 4k gaming machines.

Wrong. Just checked the price of Dark Souls 3 and it's the same on PC and consoles, for example. Also, Uncharted 4 on PC? Yeah, I don't think so.

One more thing, don't confuse the number of people who installed Steam with users who actively buy and play games.

A good PC provides better performance and therefore a better gaming experience. Still a PC doesn't have the accessibility and AAA exclusive support of consoles so they have a rightful place in the market. Besides the console market has many fans as does pc, without any of the consoles the market wI'll face another crisis since most people above 20 which haven't switched to pc never will.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

One question I had for pc gamers - do you have to buy a separate laptop for general use?

No. Do console gamers have to buy a separate laptop/desktop for general use?

Nah. My rig when I was in highschool could handle anything. Lol my parents got me a heavy duty PC with surround sound and everything back then. Everything from homework, gaming to even watching movies was done on it. I would assume it's the same or better today for most PC gamers.

Answer me. It is cheaper to purchase a Nintendo + Playstation + Xbox console than purchasing a PC that is more powerful than those machines ? If consoles don't had exclusives we would not have competition because people would purchase a Gaming PC instead. They would be able to play every game of every plataform for much less than they would pay if they purchased each plataform.

People who don't see PC's superiority is just lying to themselves.

oh wait

How much superior would Uncharted 4's PC version be compared to the ps4 version if the game released on both platforms? That's the real question (a question that unfortunetely will never get an answer like it happens with many console exclusive games).  Anyway most exclusives are ps4 - pc or Xbox - pc now so PC is the platform that benefits the most from the console war getting the most games and 99% of the time the best version available.

Not to mention the fact that you can get a PC that can run games on great settings without spending as much as you would on all three consoles. I think you could run your pc very well for that price. $850 plus even higher if you upgrade to the Xbox Scorpio and Neo.

Do you realize that you still would play console games on your PC via emulation? And isnt that what speaks for console gaming if you can play all your console  purchases with better performance on PC? So the entire power argument for PC Gaming becomes irrelvant

This is what the Neo is for, you dont need a PC for that soon enough
