If they decide to go third party, yes. Can't imagine what kind of crazy thing they could achieve with a powerful hardware.

If you think Nintendo would make their games way more ambitious just because the hardware is more powerful, I think you are wrong, they don't like to make games that require 2000 people to be made and 10m copies sold to be profitable, that's just not their style and by taking a backseat on the tech department they can allow themself to keep making games the way they want without spending so much resources just to make them prettier at the cost of being way more risky as a product.

Lol. You believe they don't need power, just like they can do the magical physics of BtoW in the GameCube. How cute of you and the other ones that quoted me.

Aonuma himself has proved by his own mouth that they need power to make things like his latest games but you like to live in denial believing power is just used to make better graphics.

It seems like you and others have lost any faith in Nintendo and think that they are the same as the rest of the industry. How dissapointing.

No way, just like the X1 there would be no point in buying one anymore.

If they really must, they could port them to PC, but not to Windows, to Linux and SteamOS instead.

Nintendo's consoles are the only ones I as a person with a PC feel are a necessity... most games are otherwise on both PS4/Xbox1 (view them as being somewhat interchangeable, was primarily xbox360 last time and now primarily PS4 this time) while also being on the PC.

If Nintendo games were released on PC, I'd not bother with their console. As it currently stands, I'll be getting NX day one for Zelda. I'm just one person, but it's a bad idea in my case lol

Nintendo is Hardware company and continues to make excellent scratch off of said hardware. So no.

Of course not. Unlike Microsoft they still care about pushing console sales.

Would love it immensely but sadly, we all know how this business works.

You believe the Wii U is powerful hardware? Of course Nintendo's consoles should and will keep power creeping, but at this point yes, though there are other uses like better AI, for the most part more power just does better graphics, not new gameplay certainly not like the leap from 2D to 3D.

It's coming, but not in the way you think. In fact, there's no reason why Nintendo  games shouldn't be playable on every screen. As detailed  by a certain user I can't remember, the clues point to NX being a handheld that connects to apps on PC, Android, iOS etc. Possibly even XBOXONE and PS4, taking advantage of the extra processing power to bump resolution and effects.

Nope, neither Nintendo or Playstation should do that, its "somewhat" understandable for MS since they own windows, and even then im still "iffy" on that decision since it WILL indeed hurt their Hardware sales but the thing is i dont know by how much, however even if it does they would still be pushing their digital platform on PC and competing against steam.

Now in Nintendo and Sonys case they have nothing on PC, and putting their games on it would only affect their hardware sales, some people may argue that the damage to that is minimal since most console gamers wont ever go to PC since its to bothersome, and they may be right... however there WILL be damage to their hardware sales regardless of how big or small it is, and as long as it takes away potential costumers from buying their consoles it wont make sense putting those games on PC.

I have a friend who has been gaming on PC for the last 5 years, and he is now getting a PS4 soon for GOW 4 and if you take that game and put it on PC well... Sony just lost that PS4 sale that my friend would have gotten, and I myself got a gaming PC this year and if Sony pulled a MS and put all their games on PC i would be pissed, because that just means that i wasted my money with the console, exclusives are 70% of the reason i buy the console (the other 30% is for ease of use), if it had no exclusives i would eventually just keep gaming on PC (if i find a way to get the same ease of use out of it as i do with my consoles).
