There are certainties though: Those who already own a gaming PC and bought the XB1 for exclusives are now more likely to sell their XB1s. Those who already have a gaming PC and were considering buying an XB1 for the exclusives no longer have a reason to.

Anything outside of that is a miniscule percentage.

It will also affect those playing with the idea of getting an Xbox for exclusives or building a gaming PC.  Something the RX480 could help push people in the direction of PC.  If you can build a decent gaming PC for ~$400-$450 now, that can play all Xbox games better than an XBO, why buy one?  Granted, yes, there are always people who prefer console gaming for its ease, but I don't think they will be in the majority for long, with building a PC getting easier and more cost effective.  There's no denying it, exclusives are just a HUGE appeal to the purchase of a console.

Opting out of owning an Xbox at this point in time is entirely viable. When looking at total coverage of games, typically you must include every console if you are to have 100% access to gaming. However, not it would seem the already small percentage of games you need an Xbox to play will become smaller and eventually go away entirely. This means (from a numbers standpoint) that the Xbox is entirely unnecessary, as a PC can run any game on Xbox and then some. 

 

That same thing cannot be said about Nintendo or Sony, who both still have games you can't get anywhere else. Nintendo has a small number of high quality games, and Sony has quite a sizeable number of games ranging from mediocre to high quality.
