Every week you create a thread like this.

There is no discusion to be had here. How mods keep them open is beyond me.

This. And besides, what are the chances a person with a gaming PC is getting an XB1 anyway? I really do hate this shift, but even I accept it and move on. I still love the brand, and will continue to support it.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Around the Network

I have a XB1. I do not have a PC. I do not plan on getting a PC. I love Halo and will continue to buy XB.

I think saying that PC gaming is inaccessible is to patronize most gamers. Everyone allready owns a PC and unless it's like 8 years old it should be able to play lots of games just fine. PC gaming used to be a pain in the ass long ago, but it's gotten a lot easier. You make a fair point about consoles being easy, but consoles have gotten worse over the years, with mandatory DLC and installs and stuff. They're not simple plug&play boxes anymore. Maybe Nintendo still are. They still know how to do it right.

Also, building a PS is fun. To me it's sometimes more fun than many games :P

What is patronizing with that statement? The reason why console became so big during the 90's was its accessibility compares to PC (just the fact that you NEVER had to install anything was a big plus for consoles). I agree that consoles have become less accessible, and that is damaging for the industry as a whole in my view. Many gamers play games on tablets and phones today instead of traditional consoles since they are quite easy to just pick up and play. This is the challenge for MS, Sony and Nintendo, to grow while holding on to console gamers and others as well.

I think it's patronizing because most people already own computers and have installed programs before, and have used online stores on their smartphones. It implies that buying a mid-range PC and installing a game is too hard for people, which it isn't. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but that's what I'm hearing when people say that PC gaming is too inaccessible.

And that's my point, we aren't in the nineties anymore, console gaming has gotten more complicated and PC gaming has gotten simpler.

I LOVE ICELAND!
