I thought there were over 1 million pre-orders in the EU. That would mean a console sales increase way above 25%. If I'm to guess at least 60% of those GT5P sales will be new console owners. I figure console sales will be around 900k - 1 million in the EU/Others with software around 1.5 million.

Woah, I think thats wishfull thinking in my opinion.

Even though it would be awesome if it actually happend.

Just looked at the UK amazon bestseller charts. GT Prologue number 1, GTA IV for PS3 at number 2.

figure pre-orders was reported to be over a million last week, how many more pre-orders were made? how many copies/consoles are set asside for people who didn't pre-order (they do that)? 

I'll stick by my estimate.  Heck is the prediction league up. I'll bet 200VG$ on it.

Wasn't that for the game, not the bundle?  I am sure hardware will be way up, but 900k-1 mill is not even realistic.  Unless I am just reading what you said incorrectly.  I mean the wii had 1.47 mil peak during the holiday season in all regions.  And that is the only time a console has had over 1 mill in a week out of the 3 this gen.

Wow, that's like like a John Lucas prediction on steroids. It barely sold over 500k during the European launch. Would it even be possible to put a million consoles on retail shelves? A million is even more than the PS2 sold in it's launch week in Japan.
