thats because it wasnt made by the same devolopers

While that's true, that's isn't the problem per se. They didn't do much to change the gameplay or even presentation. We see more effort put into indie projects.

My memory of it is vague but I recall the Neo Geo Pocket and GBA titles being pretty fun. They have similar gameplay but feel a little more like console adventure games.

what has Indie games to do with anything? they didnt even exist until Metal Slug 6 came out. They arent boring because of the same gameplay but because the level design took a major hit. 4-6 feature mostly boring flat levels, there is a lot of detail missing as well to the previous game.

The comment was just a comparison, settle down.

You're right about the level design, I recall Metal Slug 1, 2, and 3 having fun levels. Everything after started to feel stale. Gameplay being virtually unchanged didn't help the situation.

I didn't say absolutely nothing changes, but I think people generally agree they did little to keep it fresh the 15 years or so it went on for.

Really enjoy Metalslug, have a few collections of it. But nothing beats playing the game with a friend on arcade or even Neo Geo ahead of the other console versions.

Still, probably going to get this.

Well, I'm looking forward to it, at least :)

Strangely enough Warriors (rockstar ps2 game) was released in the EU store today

http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/5063-METAL-SLUG-ANTHOLOGY

Trophys are out and you get a Platinum Trophy even :)

Man PS4 gets more and more games everyday, Thats allready 8 Neo Geo games you can play M1-6, Last Blade 2 and KOF 2000 all with new trophies.

I hope they add the Waku Waku 7 and Galaxy Fight PS2 collection next.

Anyone get this? Like I expected, the plat is no flippin' joke! You've gotta beat all 7 games with 5 or fewer continues. I like the incentive to turn off unlimited continues - nothing kills an arcade game quite like not having the limitation of $2.50 in your pocket - but sweet Jesus! I run out of continues around mission 4 on #1, and they only get crazier and harder from there.
