a good thread title must be hard do do. bigger hdd for Korea makes sense, they love their add on download mirco transastions stuff.

Korea is also known to be one of the countries where people spend the most % of their yearly salaries on entertainment. However, they're also known to be largely PC gamers.. and have no real favorite in the console market.  Just a thought though.. Honestly if it was out here I'd have bought it I have this weird thing for having the high end models, even if I don't need it(I mostly avoid microtransactions.)

Cost less than what region? Some countries it's cheaper than others.

Huh? The Japanese have always had a cheaper PS3 than the US. The Europeans have always had a more expensive PS3. The price differences between countries had nothing to do with manufacturing.

Wait, I get it! They're not dropping the price. They're upping the storage. So, perhaps newer PS3s in NA/Europe/Japan will get 80gb PS3s soon? Maybe they'll knock off 50 bucks from the 60gb?

How can they phase in a new standard harddrive with some 2-3 million unsold units in circulation, which are unlikely to sell-through until Fall?
My guess would be because Sony had to come out with a Korea-spec PS3 anyhow (UI localization comes to mind, dunno what their broadcast format is) so they were kinda "forced" to make Korea-specific PS3s instead of moving existing stock into Korea.

Does software sell well in Korea? I always thought Korea (and HK/China) the majority of users are pirates. As of now theres no way to play 'back-up'ed games but I find it highly unlikely that games would sell over there. = more losses for Sony when they sell PS3s.

crappy old school NES games are more entertaining than next-gen games.

trust me the ps3-zy will not sell in korea, unless starcraft comes out on it

I am WEEzY. You can suck my Nintendo loving BALLS!
