Yea, they don't have a specific mascot. I kind of consider that to be unique, but not good at the same time (brand recognition and all).

I thought I had read in an EGM a long time ago that they had created (and quickly scrapped) an offical mascot for the PS1. He looked really weird from the picture they posted, like a pink polygon face or something like that.

Crash Bandicoot? Seriously he was supposed to be Sony's mascot but he was pretty unremarkable and all his adds seemed targeted at making fun of Mario. So he didn't stick. Well that and his games just were bad Mario Knockoffs.

How old is Microsofts lawyer? 15? Or was the (Do they even have games) thing added in by a blogger?


Cause everything other then that is the perfect resonse. Even if they do start modding PS3 characters on 360. Cause it gets people using their 360s more... and if Sony says something less magnanimous they get killed.

Funny, yet pointless. User mods, levels, custom patches, etc on UT3's scale is a new thing for consoles. Microsoft couldn't stop this if they wanted to. Once they add similar features to 360 games, sure we can expect Mario, Metroid, Snake, Killzone, etc user mods for 360 games.

I don't think Sony would want a console like the PS3 to be too much connected to a specific mascot.
