Phoned my local Game store to reserve a copy of wii Pro Evo for tomorrow until I pick it up and they asked "have you pre ordered it"? I answred "no, Why is there many free copies" they responded "we have fourty copies and thirty two are pre-ordered".

Could be interesting to see what kind of response this is gonna get for first week sales or is it a bad case of chinese whispers?  Stay tuned for next weeks exciting installment of how popular is Wii Pro Evo. 

I might be reading your post wrong but did you tell the Gamestop employee you wanted to reserve Pro Evolution 2008 and he then responded by asking you if you've reserved it already? That's what I'm getting from your post.

he asked if i'd pe-ordered it, I merely asked to keep it for for me to one side cos i'm travelling quite a distance (i'm not but I like to know I'm gonna have a copy and do this all of the time where others had paid a deposit to keep it to one side).

I just couldn't believe 32 people has paid a deposit for a game from a little game store in camden.

I think it's going to hit 60k first week tops in EU, 400k max lifetime. Most people that play PES only have a PS3 or PS2.

Well all reviews are raving, it's the best football series and it's on the hottest console. It should sell decent, even in the States.

PES 09 will be very interesting.

Dont think it'll even hit 60k to be honest but I had a bad feeling it'll bomb faster than a fat lad in a swimming pool - just glad if it hits 500K, wins a few fans, gets a good reputation and paves the way for a series from this a la Zak and Wiki. Lets be honest sports titles and Wii hasn't mixed well so far.

I'd love to see it hit 500,000 worldwide and the next version to hit 1 million worldwide (that or a combined 1.5 million b/t the two years I'd I'll be very happy).

If it hit 400k in other I will be very happy. That means it would hit 500-600k WW.. not bad really.


And when I bought PES in GS in NA the clerk said that it had been selling quite well.. whatever that means...
