Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Gow 3 then Gow CoO for psp.

Interesting question. I actually don't enjoy the trilogy as much.

That is because the contained titles have a contained story you can enjoy from beggining to finish. So, i do enjoy Ascention the best cause it also has the most enjoyable combat system. Though i likes Chains and ghost aswell.

I guess the original title was ok aswell. It was 2 and 3 that felt cheap to me. It was just: lets go murder all these guys derp!

Not at all true for 2. It had a really amazing story and good reason for Kratos to be angry.

By the end of 2 Kratos has every reason to be pissed off at the Gods and 3 continues right from there so yes he is at the very height of his brutality in 3.

Look, I don't think they are THAT bad. Its just that you are facing damn Gods...  and Hades, Poseidon and Zeus felt just like some little oversized random monsters. And I know this is greek mythology, Gods are not meant to be almighty... But c'mon, they can do better than that! Did you really imagined that facing Poseidon and Hades would be like in the game? Posesión (for example) should have been fought in the damn ocean surrounded by a huge whirlpool on a thunderstorm while Kratos struggles to not sink by being on some boat remains.

Poiseidon was fight in the ocean, he was constantly making use of its water, but they were way above its level, as Kratos was climbing the Olympus with the Titans, getting Gaia even involved on their fight, until Kratos actually pulls Poseidon out of its water form to kill him on land.
Hados had his own soul stolen by Kratos by his own weapon, as well.

You may not have liked the game, but it was really, really not lame and uninspired.

You know what I mean by "fighting in the ocean". That was not "the ocean".

What happened to Hades doesn't really matter in this topic. The fight is pretty forgettable, despite having some great visual effects (I remember when he covered the entire arena with some black chains, that was cool).

And... yes, they were lame and unispired to me. Obviously if your action game reference is God of War... yes, those are pretty neat bosses. But when you've played some other RPGS, Action, Adventure and even Platformer games with amazing bosses... GOW III just feels disappointing.

I've played other action games, RPG's and adventure games and God of War 3's boss battles blow them out of the water, maybe with exception of the boss battles in Dark Souls series.

Then I guess you haven't played enough games xD

I have played probably 100's of games over the last decade, not enough for you? :O

Tough choice! The original GoW holds a special place in my heart. It was unlike anything I had ever played, at the time...

But I have to go with GoW 2. It stepped everything up, while still being ridiculously fun and challenging. 3 and Ascension were great too, but I just can't rank them higher than the first two games.

I would say the 3rd one. The game was so expansive and everything felt so polished. The boss battles (especially Cronos) were astounding.
