It's not an RPG. It's an action adventure.

While it does incorporate more RPG elements than previous Zelda games, the core mechanics are still not RPG mechanics, but rather action adventure mechanics.

To illustrate further, it also incorporates elements from Snowboarding games and flight sims, it is clearly not a snowboarding game or a flight sim.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

He says you can level up when he's talking about all the rpg-esque mechanics that are implemented now such as cooking. Not sure if he's just mistaken or not.

previous Zelda games are more action adventure, but since Skyward Sword, the Zelda series have been becoming more RPG like and with the new game, I would consider it a RPG from what I've seen
