Disagree tbh they may as well just dedicate it to NX and NX alone because the will still be around 15-16m Wii Us out there compared to a newly released platform and Nintendo would want them to go out and get a NX. The's much more than 0% risk as they're leaving the Wii Brand behind to start fresh much like they started fresh with the blue ocean strategy when DS launched, making it cross gen is just further prolonging a brand they're leaving behind, Zelda should be the Wii brand's swan song and that's it.

Couldn't be all that different if Breath Of The Wild is releasing for both. As well as a new Mario game still being incentive to get an NX, it is, as the Wii U won't have much of a life left.

Yes it would be very difrent, beacuse "only reason why they still releasing Zelda on Wii U also is because they announced Zelda for Wii U in January 2013 and basicly they working on Wii U version from that point, they also constantly talked about it, showed several times running on Wii U including two E3s.So after all that there would not be too much sense to cancel Wii U version."

With Zelda they basically doing same thing they done with Zelda TP on GC and Wii, and that is totally different compared to Mario or any other NX game, similar situation would be if they released Mario Galaxy on GC too.

You dont have one single reason to exept (or even asume) that new Mario will be cross platform game, espacily when Nintendo this week said that Zelda is only Wii U game for next year.

BOTW was always commited as a Wii U game, they're just salvaging its potential by giving it a multiplatform release much like they did with TP, the new Mario game on the other hand was never commited to being a Wii U game at any point so it's not even close to being the same situation, the new Mario would have to be scaled down to work with the Wii U which takes more work than scaling Zelda up for NX. BOTW sees off a gen and starts a new one, after BOTW it's all going to be about the new gen platform and a 3D Mario is a suitable title to really kick off the new gen.

Wii U not having any life still doesn't mean it won't impact incentives for the NX, TP still sold 1.6m on GC after all and it release after the Wii version.

Actually scaling back would probably be much easier than trying to actually make a worthwhile upgrade (though they did say visually BOTW will be the same as Wii U). Generally speaking though, a dwongrade is easier than an upgrade.

Also, even though TP sold 1.6m on Gamecube, that did not stop Wii from being an AMAZING seller its first years. I'd say this is more telling about how little the impact would be than how big it would be.

According to whom? If this were the case you'd never hear the constant babble about Nintendo needing hardware power in the same range as competitors to accomodate third parties.

TP's 1.6m sales were 1.6m sales that were taken away from the Wii version and the Wii is the perfect example of why they shouldn't do what you say because Galaxy was a show piece for the platform and they completely left the GC behind when the Wii launched that's why it did well in the years after they fully committed to it rather than tag along a past platform.

So gamemaster has been banned? For something other than his bait threads?

They got third party support, and the PS3 Xbox 360 still gets it.

Also, no proof that people would didn't get the Wii just because TP was on Gamecube.

Of all the big third party games on PS4 and X1 name how many are coming to Wii U scaled down,, many games aren't even releasing on PS3 and 360 at this point.

1.6m sales of the GC version means that TP wasn't an incentive to get the Wii for 1.6M, keypoint is the word incentive, Nintendo will want 3D mario to be a big incentive. Being on NX only means that anyone who wants to play it has to buy an NX, if Zelda BOTW wasn't already commited as a Wii U game the wouldn't be a Wii U version of that game either.

Well there comes a time when game companies feel the majority of their audience has moved on. Year one typically isn't it, and it won't be for NX.

No

So, Kimi said that Wii U will continue to fight but only with BtoW...
No new games like a future 3D Mario... 😐

Except year 1 for Nintendo in the past few gens has been the time when their audiences move on as far as their home platforms go because they stop full support for the old platform, both the GC and Wii were a memory in the first year of their successor, the only reason the Wii U isn't the same is the fact that the audience has moved on already since NX has been expected for 2 years now.
