you are kind of giving them the reason here xD
If they just want to focus on content why not get out of the hardware biz, they would shift a hell of alot more content that way
I do think you still need to be near the original PS4 and XboxOne, if you are weaker, you are only simply shooting yourself in the foot. However I do see his response being something aimed at the 4k Consoles, which are going to be miles ahead of NX.
I don't belive NX will compete with Neo or Scorpio in the spec race, but it doesn't mean the console will be weak. The new generation of AMD GPUs are powerfull and, at the same time, very affordable.

Yes, weak specs. |
Not what I mean. Aonuma said since the first trailer that because the new tech in the Wii U, BotW was possible, because before it they had to put a lot of boundaries in the world.
On top of that, Nintendo can deliver even better games using better tech. They clearly use it in more ways than making it prettier games.

See above. This game would have never been possible on the Wii.

You know how to improve even further the game experience you offer Reggie ? by giving your console the horsepower necessary to make the games graphically stunning, is it that hard to realize that if you were to have a on-par console to your rivals with your regular software output you'd be dominating ?
Shared library, shared library, shared library, shared library, shared library... If power isn't an focus, fine, but push twice the content per console that you did this gen.
