You could still make that thread, although you got warned for your SM3DW vs. Uncharted 4 thread recently, so it wouldn't be smart. Too easy to identify as rubbing salt in the gapping wound.

Yeah, I guess some people are sensible to see Nintendo as the only software king.

At this point the Metroid series would be better off dead than repeatedly getting bastardized with travesties like Other M and Federation Force.

I'm actually excited for FF, we got so little info on it, I'm curious about the story. Wish it would not have chibi characters, hate the aesthetics, but I trust so much the guys from Next Level, they did such amazing job with Luigi's Mansion DM and Punch Out Wii.

It's not just the ugly art style that's drawing criticism. The gameplay looks shallow and amateurish, and it doesn't seem to have a shred of the atmosphere and intelligence that have traditionally been cornerstones of the series.

Federation Force might suck. It might not. We never gave it a chance. I've played/owned every game with Samus Aran in it besides Metroid Pinball. I love the series but I know it's not a big seller. I also know it has always exuded quality. Even Other M. The story may not have been to some gamer's liking but the gameplay was still up to par.

We have the bad habit of negatively judging everything that comes along. Well sometimes, the alternative is nothing. I don't just take whatever scraps are thrown my way but we never even tried to see if the game would be good or not. Often, when Nintendo strays from their original vision and tries to please use, that's when they mess up. Let the artists work!

I think we've seen more than enough at this point to see the gameplay has obvious problems, that it has about as much atmosphere as the moon, and that the art style is ugly. We can see the overall direction they're going in, and the drawbacks that come with it.

And I'd argue that Other M's problems extend way, way beyond just its story.
