Forums - Nintendo - One of my favourite things from the new Legend of zelda: Breath of the Wild!!

God the music is awsome. I hope when the game releases it has a big soundrack and more area music. This song is like so perfect cant wait for the full version

The lack of continuous music in the overworld is what I'm disappointed about though D:

Wasn't this supposed to be the first Zelda game with no Koji Kondo ?

It sounds very Joe Hisaishi-esque. I dig it.

Reminds me of Studio Ghibli and Princess Mononoke is one of my all-time favorite films so definitely a good thing.

I LOVE the music in the trailer!
It reminds me of Ghibli-Movies but still captures some of the old Zelda feel.
It seems many people are afraid that there wont be much of a soundtrack, like in the E3 demo.
Most sound is done per ambience-sounds like birds, wind, wildlife, etc... with some piano tunes randomly dropping in from time to time.
I actually like that quite a bit, also there have bin tracks that are triggered by events or enviromental changes:

  1. Fighting has uniqe tracks, depending on what you are fighting, bokoblins sound different than the rock-boss or the laser-guardians.
  2. Different Environments change the tracks, this can be heard really well when Link moves into the cold, snowy mountain region. There are also different sounds in the shrines.

Considering how incrediby well-received the Skyward Sword soundtrack was I think it is unlikely that we will have this minimal BGM during the whole game.
Maybe they keep that for peacful exploring and add more soundtrack in other Situations, like Dungeons, Towns & Villages and Story-sequences.

The new guy.

Sorry for possible mistakes, not a native speaker!

It sounds really good. Nintendo didn't pull any punches with the music, Very fitting.
