Forums - PC - My New Build (PSXB4.5onewtf?)

I needed a new work PC for home (CAD & video production) so here is my final build.  Plays Doom in nightmare at 90fps on a 3440x1440 screen.  I have been a console gamer for years (damn you xbox acheivements!), but I haven't touched my xbone or HTPC (GTX 770) in a month.  May be a while before I touch them again.  Forgot what truly smooth gameplay was like!

Here are the specs:

i7 6900k @ 4.1ghz
MSI x99 Gaming Pro Carbon
Thermaltake RIING Edition 360rgb aio Cooler
MSI Nvidia GTX 1080 FE
64gb g.skill Ripjaws 3200mhz RAM
512gb ocz m.2 ssd (4 pci lanes)
2x 940gb PNY sata SSD
EVGA 1000w T2 Super Nova Titanium PSU
Corsair k65 RGB keyboard
Corsair m70 RGB mouse
Phanteks Enthoo Evolve Tempered Glass

34" LG 34UC88 Ultrawidescreen (3440x1440)

That is one fap worthy monitor.

Also why did you get the FE edition? Wouldn't it have been better to get one with a third party cooler?

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Because they are hard to find right now and I didn't want to wait :)  I have 30 days to return hardware and wanted to make sure everything works.  If I find the MSI seahawk edition or the MSI Carbon edition I may buy it and put this one in the HTPC....

And yes, the monitor is fantastic.  I was using it with my Lenovo laptop until I dropped it...  That made me really want to see what the monitor was capable of!

Doh...  Good catch :P

I *COULD* however see adding a second one above for 3440x2880

That's a lot of really, really fast storage. And a very sexy monitor, I really like those 1440p 21:9 monitors.

Congrats on your build.

Please excuse my bad English.

I'm still building my new PC this year.
