Because they are hard to find right now and I didn't want to wait :)  I have 30 days to return hardware and wanted to make sure everything works.  If I find the MSI seahawk edition or the MSI Carbon edition I may buy it and put this one in the HTPC....

And yes, the monitor is fantastic.  I was using it with my Lenove laptop until I dropped it...  That made me really want to see what the monitor was capable of!
