Oh that's a really nice implementation of the Amiibo, though I'm not sure if I'll use it.

The only question that matters. Having a wolf companion in a game like this would be awesome especially if it has great AI like it helps you find secrets and fight enemys. If it is amiibo only, then screw you once again Nintendo!
Not really a fan of this, it seems really immersion-breaking. If it spawned a random wolf resembling Wolf Link in some ways I would be more on board, though maybe I'm just being overly picky.
Better then cod ghosts artificially overhyped dogs
(and its just amiibo feature)

After doing a little more digging, it definitely looks like it will be the case :/
Plus you may not even get to use it if you don't have a TP HD save (maybe Wolf Link would only have 3 hearts or something weak like that)

You can only summon him once a day and it fades out when you lose 3 hearts, is just like a temporal easy mode to the game.

So there's even added challenge via keeping him alive the whole day, that makes it better, thus even worse that it's day 1 on disc overpriced dlc with limited availability.

No it doesn't make it better, its ok to be against amiibo but your crusade against them gets ridiculous at times, this is not a chunk of the game hidden behind a dlc, this is not even an extra object of the game you can have forever, this is more like an easter egg than anything else, a little nice addition for those who bought the amiibo and played TPHD, and it doesnt add any kind of challenge, is the other way around, the wolf is pretty OP, as it has all the hearts you had in TPHD no matter if you are just strating this new one, so you can have a wolf with 9 hearts that kills everything before it gets you, no challenge, is just fan-service.

To me, it does. You can downplay it's value all you want (which only furthers the overpriced point btw), but the content is something I want, thus I have a big problem with the way it's handled to where I can't justify getting it. And if I don't have TPHD, which of course I don't, then it likely will be a challenge keeping him alive a whole day especially later in the game, but without that I'd still want it for novelty as I said earlier and sure I guess fan service too.
