To make it up to her, when Scalebound comes out, just buy her the game. All sorted.
Hmm, pie.

I'm overthinking everything, and it doesn't even take much effort. See, my answer already covers your case. :P Basically her fault for falling for this. Too bad for her, but it was reasonable of you to convince her. |
I was a bit too optimistic (I tend to be even though I used to have my guard up for Microsoft a lot). I'll admit this. She was right to be pessimistic of Microsoft. She's a gamer though and she makes lemonade out of lemons. What she does now, we will just have to see.
MS have really been anti-consumer with their 180s on everything.. if they was straight up with Win10 and porting all their games to PC, people could be able to make a choice. I think when you first invest into a idea filled with consumer-awareness, you better ride it out.

Yep if you have a gameing PC that seems like a much better option at this point than owning a Xbox One.

Couldn't have said it better myself. "At this point".
Yes because 60$ amends for a 300$ mislead purchase-advice? Lmao, here is 60$, sorry i tricked you into buying a product you never needed when you was right to begin with..
It's still her fault though

Agreed.
If she doesn't intend to use the XB1 ever again now, do the right thing and buy it from her at the price she paid. It's the only way to completely dissolve the feeling. (At least that's how I do it when I convince a friend to buy a game but they end up not enjoying it at all). I know it sounds a bit much, but ultimately as long as she still owns that XB1 you'll always remember that feeling of guilt.
