Hope this isn't 2009's big innovation! Anyway, with only one NFL licensed game on the market, if EA wants to kick John Madden to the curb, now is the time.

The only madden ones ive bought are 99, 06 and 07. I won't be buying 09. I may rent it for old time sake, but thats it.
The last Madden I played was way back on the Genesis in '94...
I think the new commentater should be Jar Jar Binks or 50 cent...who both talk utter jibberish but would be very entertaining:)

1. Soriku you play Madden? You would be the last person on this site I would have expected to play Madden.
2. coolestguyever, you definitely picked the wrong years to buy Madden. You bought 06 and 07 which were average and missed out on 05 and 08 which were awesome.
3. I'm intrigued who the new announcers are. It better not be Aikman though. I may have to boycott the game if it's Aikman.

I use the three year approach to madden. Every 3 years I buy the new one. This means that each time I buy it I get 3 years of tiny changes instead of 1 year.
I am sure they will never take madden out of the name of the Game.. it is too big of a brandname for that.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
Why would they remove John Madden from Madden?
I'm pretty sure Madden wasn't an announcer in 08. I don't remember really hearing his voice or anything in the game. All I remember is Marshall Faulk doing the intro/outro to the games.
I used to love the old Madden/Summerall combo in the 90's Madden games. Boom!!!
